Financial Policy

At Richie Eye Clinic & LASIK Center “REC” and Crossroads Surgery Center “CRSC”, we make every effort to provide our patients with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this, we work with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures.


Please bring your insurance information to your first office visit, and any me your insurance policy changes.


If you have insurance, we will estimate your financial responsibility and collect that portion prior to, but no later than, the day of service. Upon completion of services, we will submit a claim to your insurance company. Most insurance companies will respond within four weeks. Any remaining balance after insurance has paid is your responsibility and we will send you a statement. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. Likewise, in case of overpayment, it will be reflected on the statement and we will promptly process a refund.


Patients should be aware of their insurance network and coverage in order to best utilize their benefits. You are encouraged to call your insurance provider directly. REC and CRSC reserves the right to decline acceptance of any insurance outside those companies with which we are contracted.


Please remember that you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office, regardless of your insurance coverage.


Any questions you have are important to us. We are happy to help answer any ques ons regarding treatment, insurance or your statement during office hours.


Surgery Fee Estimates

Estimated fees and payment options will be discussed during your surgery scheduling with Richie Eye Clinic. Our experienced surgery schedulers and patient services team will do everything possible to make sure that all questions are answered prior to the procedure.


Our fees reflect the specific procedure and the type of surgery being performed. Additional fees for other services may apply, depending on the specific services performed on the date of service. Your estimated out-of-pocket expense is expected prior to your surgery.


Payment Options

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Care Credit. Secure online payments can be made at our website: www.richieeyeclinic.com


We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame.


Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility, and your prompt remittance is appreciated. If you are having difficulty paying your balance, we encourage you to contact our business office about your account. Our business office staff will help you with questions and concerns, and work with you on a payment plan and other reasonable options to help you pay your remaining balance.

Patients Without Insurance

If you do not have insurance, or your insurance company does not cover your services, we will request payment in full on the date of service.


Uninsured patients and insured patients who receive uninsured treatment will be eligible for a discount on their services. The discount will be based on the average reimbursement rate for each service, based on REC’s and CRSC’s most favored insurer.


A Good Faith Estimate may be provided to you prior to your visit, if you request it.


Billing Inquiries

We kindly ask that all billing inquiries be submitted in writing so that we can accurately track and document all communications. This helps us ensure that your concerns are addressed promptly and accurately.


By having billing inquiries in writing, we can maintain a detailed record of all patient interactions. This allows us to respond thoroughly and efficiently to your inquiries, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and addressed appropriately.
