Dr. Mike Reinsbach is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist. He specializes in premium cataract surgery, micro-invasive glaucoma surgery, medical retina (including intravitreal injections and laser), laser refractive surgery (LASIK & PRK), and basic oculoplastic surgery.
 

Dr. Reinsbach is returning “home” after working as an ophthalmologist in Bemidji, MN for four years. Both he and his wife, are from Waseca, MN. After high school, he joined the MN Army National Guard as a combat medic and became a veteran after deploying to Kosovo in 2006, with a unit out of Rochester, MN. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Minnesota State University - Mankato. His medical education was received from the University of Minnesota.
 

Dr. Reinsbach completed an intern year at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. His residency in ophthalmology was at Nassau County Hospital in Long Island, NY where he was elected chief resident in his final year.
 

 

Dr. Reinsbach’s goal is to treat patients as if they were family and support them through customized treatment that meets their individual lifestyle needs. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Reinsbach’s professional memberships and affiliations include:

  • American Academy of Opthalmology
  • Volunteer Health Program - which cares for the impoverished people of the Dominican Republic. Their most recent mission saw over 1500 patients and completed 388 procedures

 

Dr. Reinsbach enjoys spending free time with his wife and two wonderful young boys. Together they like outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, camping, and snowboarding/skiing. The remaining time is spent trying to control their new pet velociraptor (boxer puppy).
