Dr. Murray H. Hanson

Optometrist

After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College, Moorhead, Dr. Hanson went on to pursue his Bachelor of Science and his Doctor of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Hanson began seeing patients in Faribault in 1989 and purchased Dr. Roy Anderson’s practice in 1993 before joining Richie Eye Clinic in 2003. 
 

Dr. Hanson’s professional memberships and affiliations include: 

• American Optometric Association 
• Minnesota Optometric Association 
• Rotary Club of Faribault 
• Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 

Dr. Hanson specializes in family eye care and contact lenses as well as geriatric eye care. In addition to seeing patients at Richie Eye Clinic, Dr. Hanson also visits area nursing homes and assisted living facilities on a regular basis. These include The Emeralds, Pleasant Manor, Pleasant View, Traditions of Waterville and Montgomery, Kenyon Senior Living, Medford Senior Care, New Perspective Senior Living, Milestone Senior Living, and Faribault Senior Living. 

Dr. Hanson and his wife Kristi have a daughter Kamryn, a son Jackson and his wife Mary, and granddaughters Eleanor, Gabrielle and Adelaide. His interests include photography, reading, golfing and weight training/exercising.
